Critical illness is a life-threatening condition in the human body. The disease leaves the individual weak and with reduced efficiency.

Description:

A critical illness can leave the person infirm or weak and affects the lifestyle of the patient. The cost of treatment is high in comparison to that of normal illness. The state of illness can keep an individual away from work that leads to loss of income.

Example:

Manav led a healthy lifestyle up to 38 years. He worked in the asbestos sheet making factory. The consistent exposure to the chemicals developed in Manav dreaded cancer. After diagnosis, the doctors declared him to suffer with critical illness.
